What if I don't have any stories?

 

​Everyone has stories! We’ll help you find yours - you don’t need to arrive with any idea of what story you want to tell. Or, if there is one that you’ve been harboring and hoping to tell for a long time, we’ll help you find the courage to stand up and tell that story. 

​

​

What if I'm too shy to do something like this?​

 

That’s actually a very legitimate reason to take this class. Many of our former students have enrolled precisely because they were shy and knew they needed to develop this part of themselves. You will leave our class braver and more connected to yourself, your creativity, and your story.

​

​

Why should I do this? What's in it for me?

 

At the very least, after this course, you will feel more confident and grounded anytime you’re called upon to speak in front of others, take a stand for something you believe in, or tell a good joke. Internally, you will finish the class with more self-knowledge and connection to yourself and your story.

What if I just want to try this out but am not ready to enroll in a full class yet? 

 

Good news! Once a month we offer a free, hour-long taster class. Drop in to meet us, test out some exercises, and get a feel for our courses. Our next taster class is April 10th, from 1-2pm PST. Reserve your spot here. (Limited space is available.)

OK, I’m interested! But what if I can’t afford the class right now?

​

No problem! We believe cost should never be a barrier to enrollment. We offer full and partial scholarships for each session. Apply here.

What if I’ve already taken StoryCraft at Stanford or the Foundations class online? What’s next for me? 

 

Yay! You’ve already taken what we are now calling StoryCraft: Foundations for Personal Storytelling. You can now take any of the new classes we’ve developed specifically for the non-beginner. We would be so psyched to see you there! Check out those classes here.

I have a group of friends/colleagues/family that I want to take the class with. Do you offer private classes?

​

We do! Telling and hearing each others’ stories is a beautiful gift to share with your friends/colleagues/family. We offer private classes for self-selected groups of 4-16 participants. Email us and let us know what you would like. We’ll get back to you right away.

I’d love to have this kind of work in my company/team/group. Is that possible?

​

Great! We’re excited to help! We will design a workshop or private class to fit the specific needs of your company/business/school/team/etc. Email us directly here and we’ll get in touch with you right away.
